The Post Graduate would not exist as it does today without the people that make it special: our wildly intelligent, passionate and witty team!
Ashley is a writer, actor, runner and vegetable enthusiast. Having received her BFA at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Ashley has had experience cherry picking from multiple professions; interning at theatrical shows and film production offices, assisting at fashion week, and the list goes on. In the process, she has discovered that she is proud to be an amalgam. Ashley enjoys vegan foods and patrolling pinterest for apartment decorating ideas. She is an Ohio native, now local to Brooklyn, New York.
Emma is an art-lover, writer, poet, dancer, and coffee addict. She received her BA in Art History from NYU, and has held internships at the Whitney Museum, Getty Museum, Guggenheim Museum, and Morgan Library. A native Los Angeleno, she moved to New York in 2014, and has spent varying amounts of time in Florence, Paris & London. She is a wannabe flâneuse, and can often be found traipsing around lower Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Zennie is a writer and actor living in northern New Jersey (and legitimately proud to say so). She graduated with a BFA from NYU Tisch along with writing an honors thesis concerning performance and the patriarchy. Zennie, most idealistically, can't help but fall head over heels in love with her own life, the radiant people she's met over the years, her incredible family, and the iridescent, often overwhelming beauty of the universe. Her journey continues to be directed by Frank Capra.
Jay is an Economics major at New York University. He enjoys photography, coffee, and long (romantic?) walks around the city. He hopes to one day balance his passions for finance and photography. Though he was born and raised in Southern California, he considers his home to be across the globe, in London; the corgi-capital of the world.
Auriane studied English at NYU, where she wrapped up her senior year with an honors thesis. Outside of school, she has reviewed theater for Stagebuddy, and has written for Cracked and Urbanette. Her favorite writing collaboration thus far, though, would be the time Lin-Manuel Miranda replied to one of her tweets.
Elise is from Atlanta, Georgia. She came to New York City to study acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, which she has just graduated from (and totally not panicking about it) and is staying in NYC to pursue a career and life as an actor and hopefully teacher. Most of her time is spent working as a barista, reading like her life depends on it, watching all the Netflix, and exercising any way she can. She has Nick Jonas in concert five times and plans on many more.
Ciena does not own a pet bunny. She does have a rad apartment in Bushwick and a job, though. After graduating from NYU with a thesis on dissident art in East Germany, she is stumbling her way through life. Check out her dope Instagram aesthetic @coffeeenema
Alexandria is an NYC gal at heart currently residing in Glendale, CA. In addition to acting, writing and all things entertainment, she enjoys the natural highs in life: extreme outdoor sports, watching all movies (no matter how sophisticated or bizarre) and taking pride in being a nerd (Whovian for life). She is so excited to be apart of The Post Graduate and hopes to spread only positivity and happiness with her writing, cause everyone deserves a bit of laughter in their life.
Marissa received her BA in Art History from NYU and will be pursuing her Masters in Museum Studies starting this fall at the University of San Francisco. She has experience working at galleries and non-profit organizations, focusing on curatorial work, social media, and education. She absolutely loves photography, travel, corgis, and the Oxford Comma. When the weather is beautiful you can find her reading in Central Park (probably by the Met).
Ana is a recent graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts (Playwrights Horizons Theater School). During her time at NYU, she wrote, directed, and produced plays (in all stages of development). Post-grad, she produces podcasts (One More Thing with Jaye and Robert), spends way too much time looking at memes, and still writes the occasional one-act. Previously, Ana served as the theater program assistant at Sundance Institute and as a freelance dramaturg for new plays (40 by Nazareth Hassan Hagood; Columbus Play by Daniella De Jesús). A true Capricorn rising, her most salient identity is "Latina with a planner." Ana is very, very excited to be collaborating with Ashley and the rest of The Post Graduate Team!
